History of Gordon W. Pratt Agency Inc
Gordon W. Pratt Agency Inc. was established in June of 1978 and incorporated in July of 1979 by Gordon W. Pratt. The intent of the corporation is to sell property, casualty and life insurance. The corporation started with one producer and one customer service representative. Gordon W. Pratt lived August 2nd, 1924 to December 10th, 2013 with one of his proudest achievements being the extremely successful business he helped create.
Gordon sold the agency to Peter H. Lynch and Heather P. Perkins in January of 1991. At that time, the corporation had two producers (the owners) and two customer service representatives. On January 3, 2011, Gordon W. Pratt Agency Inc purchased IB Hunt Agency. The agency added a DBA for IB Hunt and kept the location at 73 Church St. Suite 1 Saranac Lake, NY 12983 open. As of January 2023, the corporation has 8 employees (including owners).
